'Calling the Macmillan Support Line was
the most positive thing I've done since I
received my diagnosis. I rang the helpline
and spoke to someone called Calvin. It
helped just to talk things through without
fear of upsetting friends or family.
He just listened and then reassured me
that I wasn't going crazy. He offered me
a further session to assess my needs with
the welfare team, and following that I was
offered six sessions of counselling which I
didn't even know existed. It took a lot to
ring the helpline but I'm so glad I did.'
